This is where we tell you what we have planned

Sometimes we get active, sometimes we just chill ...

It is also where you can publicise your own club events, outings and what-not, so tell us about them.

Drop a mail to and we'll take it from there.

... and other times we leave the Jaguars at home and go for a little drive in the country ...

Hi Guys,

The time for the long awaited talk by Brian Askew has arrived. This once-off event is something special and is not to be missed. Please make every effort to attend and let me know by Wednesday 18th whether you will attend.

When. Sunday 22 March at 11:00

Where. Hebron Haven

What. In 1922 William Lyons and William Walmsley started SS Sidecars

In 1932 SS Cars had produced their first cars – the SSI and SS2

In 1942 SS Cars were refurbishing Whitley bombers

In 1952 Jaguar Cars had won their first Le Mans

Brian Askew will speak on the fortunes of Jaguar during the second World War and their commercial racing successes in the 1950s.

He has found a couple of period videos so the talk could run +/- 45 minutes.

The talk will be followed by lunch where we will order from the a la carte menu.

RSVP. Once again, please let me know by Wednesday 18th whether you will be attending.

See you there,

Our second stop was at Tanglewood Country Hotel, warmly greeting locals, out-of-towners and holiday makers from near and far since 1885. It boasts nine guest rooms and one ghost.

The Great Hebron-to-Hebron Midlands Treasure Hunt, Sunday 24 November 2019

Who: Five crews in three foreign vehicles and two XJs - a Series 1 and a Daimler 2.4.

Distance: Approx 94 km, up the road from Hebron Haven to St Andrews Church, looking out for cryptic clues along the way. Double back to Tanglewood to look up its original name. Grab a pamphlet to show we had been there.

Then onto the Meander Route for more clues and drop in at The Bierfassl to introduce ourselves and collect a bite of Brattwurst. Answer more questions on the way back.

Visit Full Of Beans to meet the owner and collect a damn' fine cappuccino. Keep the containers as proof.

Back to Hebron for natter and lunch. Our Host, Mike Corlett, said it was a dry run to determine whether the format would work for bigger events in future. He is a member of another motor club and wants to re-open the venue to breakfast runners and four-wheelers.

Excellent lunch with starters, burgers or line-fish, and desserts. Lots of spot prizes. Everybody did so well that no winners needed to be announced.

Full Of Beans Coffee Shop where we met Debbie and enjoyed "mush" cappuccino.

Hebron Haven: Hosting motoring events since at least the late 'sixties, when Ed and spouse spent a wet weekend there after an NMCC club rally. Twenty-seven rooms, 88 beds, a miniature railway and a ghost or six. Plus a pot of gold buried somewhere about the property, it is said.
